The Annual Town Meeting for the Town of Mount Desert will commence on Monday, May 4, 2009, 7:50 a.m. at the Somesville Fire House, 1157 Main Street, Somesville. Following the election of Moderator, the polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. for voting on the election of officers.
The open Town Meeting will resume at the Kelley Auditorium, Mount Desert Elementary School, 8 Joy Road, Northeast Harbor on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 6:00 p.m.
Copies of the Town Report and Warrant are available at the Town Office. If you have any questions about the schedule for Annual Town Meeting and/or Elections, please call the Town Office at 276-5531.

The Northeast Harbor Ambulance Service is pleased to welcome the public to Pathway to Spring, the 2009 Spring Bulb Tour at WatersEdge, Barbara and William Stewart’s seaside estate on Sargeant Drive in Northeast Harbor. Over 85,000 bulbs have been planted or naturalized,
lining garden paths that border broad lawns sweeping down to the shore of Somes Sound. Proceeds will benefit the Northeast Harbor Ambulance Service. Tickets are $15 per person, children 12 and under admitted free.

Ceremonies will take place at the park following the band’s arrival.
